Texting in 2026 Sucks

I feel like texting just isn’t what it used to be and it makes me sad. Multiple people have told me it feels like a chore. Or they just don’t care. I used to love texting my friends even to just say hi or chat about whatever. But now it’s like pulling teeth trying to get someone to text me back so I’ve just kind of given up. Maybe I’m of no interest to others.

Take me back to 2009 when t9 was popular and I had to pay to send texts on my prepaid phone. Maybe it’s not the texting that sucks. It’s the people on the other end. Or maybe I suck for putting so much thought into all of this.

Either way, I feel like at this point texting is fun with the right person. But just isn’t the same with others.
